The papers are stock market indexes collected during the bear market of 2007-2009.
While working on the paintings' series EXPECT DRAMATIC CHANGES DURING THE UNFOLDING OF YOUR LIFE, in my Berlin Mitte studio, the world stock markets suffered fast and strong declines. Everybody was complaining and in panic. I created this collage-painting basing on the same iconographical inspiration as used in the/other paintings and alsointroduced the numerical and weird logarithmic element in some A3, A4, and A1 collages which are collected in my book SACRIFY TO THE NOTHINGNESS, volume I, pages 283 to 289.

SACRIFY TO THE NOTHINGNESS

Each book page of the book is a collage of material from different media (sketches, photography, Video stills, extracts from poems, drawings, architecture and sculpture models).
All pages are titled at the bottom, those titles being clues to the meaning of the single collage in itself and as well as within the context of the whole book. They represent(s)a resume of my work from 1988, the year I first moved to Berlin, to 2007, when I settled down back in Mitte.
The intention behind the structure of the book is that it's possible to only read the pages' titles consecutively, as a poem, instead of stopping at each of them and relating the discourse to imagery.
